Dallas Video Festival 2008

ICE is an exploration of thought at the basic level of synapse flashes. Random visual images are triggered by the voices of the artist and his son Kai(the central figure of the video.) The video was programmed at the Experimental Television Center in Owego New York. It is the artist's belief that the mixed-up frenetic nature of the image sequencing more closely replicates what he 'sees' than a 'straightforward' video recording. Most of the time when he views the world outside of his body an oscillation is created between external and internal visuals that may or may not have anything to do with one another. This piece is a follow-up to the video 'Cries' which premiered at the 2007 Dallas Video Festival.
